I pulled out two strings,
from a corner of my green shirt of silk,
that still smells like you,
more of sweet-tart and rose-dip milk,
Rumpled from corner to corner,
depicting everything that we have between us,
With a spurt of time but slowly,
managed through my fingers & didn’t make a fuss,
Painted it with colours I hid in my diary,
drew curves like auroras of smudged clouds,
and that Rain particle under the bridges of voices we share,
drenched with dreams of our laughter and songs we sang so loud,
I wish I could make your stay a little longer
whenever I breathed the same air with you,
Tasteful time of unimaginable moments
where I lost my self, mostly in your smile though,
The strings magically tune into tempo of steps we stomped on the roads,
Listen to it, it says
“vivit tantum cum praesens sum apud vos”.
